About the Author
Ran Hinrichs was born in Washington State. He is CEO of 2b3d, a virtual worlds company dedicated to moving protons, not people. 2b3d is an award winning innovator in virtual worlds in health care, education and usability. His first two books pioneered Web Page Design and Intranets spanning a career in emerging software technology at Microsoft Research and Sun Microsystems, including multimedia learning processes, relationship systems, and large-scale information collection and mining. He is on the iSchool faculty at the University of Washington specializing in virtual worlds research and certification.
