The Hunchardcoverack Of Notre Damethe

Victor Hugo . Rupa Publications India . English

The Hunchback of Notre-Dame is the tragic story of a gypsy, Esmeralda, whose beauty and ability to inspire love ultimately leads to her doom. Set in medieval Paris against the milieu of crowded streets, tumultuous crowds, uncontrollable passions and above all, the magnificent cathedral of Notre-Dame, this novel demonstrates the selfishness and cruelty of man, but also the redemptive force of true love.
