About the Author

Welcome! Thank you for your interest in my books. I hope you've been enjoying them ... Or, if this is your first time, that you will enjoy them. I'm very excited right now, as the first of my Cornish trilogy - my brand new series - NEW BEGINNINGS IN PENCARROW BAY, is about to be released on August 28th 2025. Pencarrow Bay is a fictional place - but extremely real to me. I hope it will be to you, too, with its sparkling blue sea and bobbing boats, the colourful pastels of the fishermen's cottages that line the tranquil harbour, the yummy waft of pasties coming from the bakery shack, the lighthouse standing guard on the headland. It feels so welcoming, so safe. I'm not Cornish, but I love Cornwall. I first visited as a child, with my cousins. We'd stay in a caravan and make clumsy attempts to surf at Polzeath. My adult self keeps returning every year. Not to Polzeath, but to the same village on the south coast ... which, with a lot of artistic licence, has morphed into Pencarrow Bay. I can't wait to share Pencarrow and its characters with you soon. The story has twists and turns, the characters their flaws, but the community is warm and friendly, like the inhabitants. Romance is in the air, of course, as I'm an incurable romantic. There's no age limit for falling in love, so my heroine in NEW BEGINNINGS is a little older. We're not just grannies and babysitters! I've had a chequered career... I trained as a nurse at Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital - the best training for life you could wish for. Work included marriage guidance, running a small cancer charity, working for an online vitamin company and getting an English degree from London University in my thirties. But writing is my first love. I had a stroke of luck in my sixties. After many failed attempts at publication with various novels, I got a publishing deal for my novel THURSDAYS IN THE PARK. Which, amazingly, turned out to be an international bestseller. Since then, I've written fifteen more novels. I'm a bit hopeless on social media - I have tried - but you can find me on Instagram or Facebook if you want to be in touch - I love to hear from you. And if you click the yellow 'follow' button, Amazon will send you emails about my upcoming releases and special deals.
