Pink - Raise Your Glass: Die Biografie der Sängerin P!nk Hardcover – 25 May 2023

Annie Zaleski . Hannibal Verlag . German

IMAGEOUS AND EXPRESSIVE P!nk She is a phenomenon, this Alecia Beth Moore from Doylestown in Pennsylvania, better known as P!nk. With over forty million albums sold and seventy million singles sold, she is one of the most successful women in rock, and this has its reason: she is famous not only for her spectacular stage shows and rebellious style, but also for songs with depth and statement. M!ssundaztood, the album that gave her the breakthrough in 2001, gave a voice to many young women of her generation: in songs like »Family Portrait« or »Just Like A Pill«, she told openly and vulnerably about her own problems such as the divorce of her parents or experiences with drugs, but always showed herself combative and firmly determined not to get under. . So she hit a nerve as well as with the successful mix of power pop, rock, alternative and hiphop - and founded a world career that has lost nothing of her swing to this day. Since then, P!nk has been considered an artist who cannot be bent. In addition, she is known as an intrepid activist who is committed to animal welfare as much as equality, the LGBTQ community or gay marriage. In July 2022, she released her musical commentary on the new abortion laws in the U.S. with »Irrelevant«. As a power woman with enormous energy, she also shows herself at her shows, but at the same time makes no secret of her weaknesses and fears. This dazzling personality has masterfully captured American journalist Annie Zaleski in her biography Raise Your Glass. Her thrilling research is complemented by over a hundred photos that show P!nk not only on stage, but also quite privately and visually round off this multifaceted portrait perfectly.
