When careless cravings revel in poetic whispers Of Life, Of Love is a collection of poems tracing the journey of love from adolescence to adulthood, and attempting to challenge the postulations inscribed by society—in essence, a story of finding oneself. A hopeless romantic at heart, the poet began his journey as a teenager with neither caution nor consternation—his spirit overflowing with optimism. But before he knew it, his world had been turned upside down by the one he called his soulmate. As the years passed and his experiences failed, he began a conscious effort to look at things through a philosophical prism—to form new perspectives and figure out if he really wanted the ‘what’ and the ‘who’ he thought he did. Plagued by the never-ending restlessness to find his one, the poet precariously searches for the meaning of life promenading on the polar extremities of romanticism. ADITYA LONGANI recalls writing his first poem at the age of 11 and has been writing ever since. He enjoys unearthing the facets of psychology and philosophy, specifically during late night conversations. He is perpetually trying to answer the ‘why’ of everything and tackles most complex situations in life with intermittent humour and sarcasm. Though he is obsessed with gadgets, he wishes he were born in an era in which people connected outside of the digital world and talked their hearts out sans the rush. Aditya is a qualified CA and is currently pursuing the CFA Program. He lives in New Delhi.
