This book/CD package details the various stages of multimedia development. The book includes current advancements in multimedia, while the CD-ROM contains demo versions of all Macromedia authoring tools, making this a Mac and Windows package. Developed in co-operation with Macromedia, the work covers the theory behind multimedia development, yet is practical enough to enable users to develop a multimedia product for the Mac or Windows. Opening with an introduction to multimedia and the skills necessary to produce a multimedia product, the work goes on to detail the hardware and software needed; describe the multimedia building blocks: text, graphics, animation, audio and video; prepare for a multimedia project: planning, costing and managing; how to design a project; how to put it all together; and how to deliver a finished product.
