The world of business is all about transactions: you may trade a product, supply a service, or both. In 2007 I got lots of requests to write a book about my life as a survivor of a car accident. I started to ask myself: “Why should I write such a book? How would it contribute differently to society? What do people want to know about me?” After spending several weeks thinking about these questions I realized how important I am to this society, so I had to deal with myself first, get my act together, correct my old lifestyle and change how I behaved. It was never easy. I had to let go of a lot, but I’m thankful today for that because I have gained more than I expected. Above all, I’ve gained respect, trust and business. So back to the book issue! As soon as I discovered myself I wanted to write a book that could be a guideline to help others achieve their dreams so that they can control their destiny through their gifts. Another question was: “How can I contribute towards business people, and what do business readers really want?” I eventually got an answer – to write a book that would be engaging, down to earth and entertaining to read. It would be full of simple, common-sense pragmatism, rather than just academic theory. I endeavour to inspire aspirational readers from businesses of all 5 Introduction sizes and sectors, so that they can become more profitable rather than just ‘better educated and smarter’. I will provide real step-bystep knowledge, tools and usable techniques; have realistic topics and stories about my life experiences that will contribute towards business development; mistakes made by myself and others regarding spending power; I’ll be provocative, honest and challenging where needed; I will augment the above by highlighting real examples of outstanding people, including myself, in a plan of action to avoid commercial folly; I will motivate, inspire and act as a catalyst for really effective action. I am 100% confident that you will find this book engaging, provocative and informative, and that if you follow the steps I outline in this book, you will automatically experience massive improvement in your business, and you will learn how you should deal with your money.
