About the Author

Born in Tamil Nadu, Dr A. P. J. Abdul Kalam received his engineering degree in aeronautics from the Madras Institute of Technology. His contribution in the development of space rocket technology and ballistic missile was significant. Dr. Kalam is fondly known as the missile man of India for the same. He became the Indian President in the year 2002. Dr. Kalam has been honoured with prestigious awards like Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and and the Bharat Ratna. He has written books like Ignited Minds: Unleashing the Power Within India, India 2020: A Vision for the New Millennium and Wings of Fire.
