Forgotten Children: The First Disclosure, Child Abuse and Exploitation Awareness Book by Rajan Kumar Jha ASP-CBI Paperback – Picture Book, 18 January 2025

Forgotten Children: The First Disclosure is a powerful and revealing book that sheds light on the often-overlooked reality of child abuse and exploitation. Authored by Rajan Kumar Jha ASP-CBI, this courageous work examines how children endure suffering in silence across environments typically considered safe—including homes, schools, religious institutions, workplaces, and the digital realm. The book delves into the various forms abuse can take, exposing the deep emotional and psychological scars that frequently remain hidden from view. Drawing from real-life experiences, investigative insights, and thorough research, the author uncovers the concealed anguish of affected children whilst highlighting critical gaps in systems designed to safeguard them. It demonstrates how insufficient awareness, inadequate responses, and societal silence perpetuate such abuse, emphasising the urgent need for prevention, healing, justice, and meaningful reform. Beyond documenting suffering, this book celebrates strength, survival, and hope. It calls upon parents, educators, caregivers, policymakers, law enforcement, and society at large to embrace shared responsibility and act decisively to protect every child, support survivors, and build a safer, more compassionate world for future generations.
