Alasdair Gilchrist has spent 30 years as a professional in the fields of IT/OT, Data Communications, Mobile Telecoms and latterly Cloud technologies, as a professional technician, support manager, network and security architect and latterly as a a director/CTO. He has experience in the deployment and integration of systems in Industry, Enterprise, Cloud, fixed/mobile telecoms, and service provider networks. He is knowledgeable in a wide range of technologies and has written a number of books in related fields such as Industry 4.0 and on the Google Cloud Platform. Nonetheless, writing is just a hobby that he finds fulfilling to pass on knowledge. He has also delved into the vastly more complex field of fiction, which is hugely enjoyable but extraordinary difficult.
