About the Author

Beginning as a child actor in<i> Chotto Jigyasa</i>(1968), <b>Prosenjit Chatterjee </B>has worked in over 400 films in a four-decade-long career. He is one of Bengal�s longest-ruling superstars with several superhits to his credit, including <i>Amor Sangi</i> (1987) and <i>Sasurbari Zindabad</i> (2000). He seamlessly transitioned to serious cinema with critically-acclaimed films like <i>Chokher Bali</i> (2003) and <i>Moner Manush</i> (2010), and is an internationally recognized and respected artist today. An award-winning actor, Prosenjit Chatterjee�s body of work extends to Hindi and Odia cinema, and even into the OTT sphere with series like Jubilee (2023) and <i> Khakee: </i> The Bengal Chapter (2025). He has also written and directed two films�<i>Purushottam</i> (1992) and <i>Aami Sei Meye</i> (1998). His production banner Nideas Productions has helmed numerous soaps, chat shows, musicals and films, and is currently focusing on regional cinema.<br><br> <b>Roshmila Bhattacharya</b> is a senior journalist who�in a career spanning over three decades�has worked with every leading media house in the country, including <i>The Times of India, Hindustan Times and The Indian Express. </i><br> She has four books to her credit: Bad Man (2019) Gulshan Grover's autobiography, <i>Matinee Men: My Journey Through Bollywood</i> (2020) chronicling her interactions with 13 Hindi film actors, <i>Spooked: Bollywood's Encounters with the Paranormal </i> (2023) and <i>Bad Men: Bollywood�s Iconic Villains</i> (2024).
